Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in York, PA is seeking an Assembler for the Vert Line, 1st shift, full-time. You will assemble parts from blueprints and work with hand tools and small power tools to build subassemblies and final units on a bench or conveyor line.

Manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to read engineering drawings in English, and teamwork across departments are essential. Overtime may be required; Safety, quality, and continuous improvement are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts to form subassemblies and final products using hand tools and small power tools.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions and SOPs; interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety regulations (JSA, PPE, 5S).
• Detect and report defective materials; perform first article inspections.
• Collaborate with other departments and shifts to meet customer expectations.
• Possess flexibility to train on all assembly positions and products; assist in continuous improvement.
