Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, PA is seeking an Assembler for the 1st shift on a full-time basis. You will assemble parts to form subassemblies, read blueprints, and follow SOPs in an open-air manufacturing environment.

The role requires a high school diploma/GED, strong communication and attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime and cross-training across assembly areas are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED and previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates an attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of production assembly tasks using hand tools, small power tools, and other equipment following detailed assembly instructions to meet customer expectations.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, drawings, and shop orders to assemble final and subassembly products.
• Operates within SOPs and JSAs; maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area; reports safety or quality issues.
