SRS Distribution Inc. is offering an entry-level exposure program focused on gaining hands-on experience across warehouse operations, logistics, and supporting functions.

You’ll handle safety compliance, inventory control, order fulfillment, equipment inspections, and customer service activities while shadowing branch leaders to explore future career pathways

Qualifications

• Must be active-duty service member eligible for DoD SkillBridge or approved military internship program.
• 180 days or fewer remaining on active duty at program start.
• Approval from Chain of Command.
• Pay Grade E5 and above.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and compliance by following OSHA standards and forklift safety protocols.
• Assist warehouse logistics: inventory control, cycle counting, stock rotation, order fulfillment.
• Operate material handling equipment and ensure proper loading/unloading by weight distribution.
• Receive, inspect, and store materials with accurate records.
• Use WMS and internal tools to track inventory, shipments, and safety compliance.
• Conduct daily/weekly equipment inspections and document results.
• Support routing and delivery logistics using GPS and scheduling tools.
• Enter and manage purchase orders, vendor receipts, and branch transfers.
• Monitor unbilled orders, backorders, APPO variances, and supplier disputes.
• Cash reconciliation and support in financial operations for branch performance.
• Deliver customer service via counter sales, order entry, calls, and walk-ins.
• Learn pricing models and impacts of overrides on profitability.
• Build product knowledge and assist vendor relationship management.
• Assist with marketing and sales of slow-moving or obsolete inventory (SLOB).
• Provide administrative support like scanning, filing, and organizing sales docs.
• Shadow branch leadership to gain insights into operations and career paths.
