Job summary

SRS Distribution - McKinney is seeking a SkillBridge Operations Trainee for the Pacific Region. The program offers hands-on exposure to warehouse operations, sales, finance, safety, and HR while training for a civilian career.

Expect structured, on‑the‑job learning with supportive leadership and opportunities across branches in the Pacific region. You’ll gain practical experience in inventory control, logistics, and vendor relations, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Active-duty service member eligible for SkillBridge or military internship program.
• Within 180 days or fewer remaining on active duty at program start.
• Approval from Chain of Command required.
• Pay grade E5 and above.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA standards, PPE use, and forklift safety protocols.
• Assist with warehouse logistics: inventory control, cycle counts, stock rotation, order fulfillment.
• Operate material handling equipment and ensure load distribution safety.
• Receive, inspect, and store materials with accurate records.
• Use WMS and internal tools to track inventory, shipments, and safety compliance.
• Perform daily/weekly equipment inspections and document results.
• Support routing and delivery logistics using GPS and scheduling tools.
• Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and support CDL drivers.
• Enter and manage purchase orders, vendor docs, and transfers.
• Monitor unbilled orders, backorders, APPO variances, supplier disputes.
• Participate in daily cash reconciliation and branch financial operations.
• Provide excellent counter sales, order entry, and customer service.
