Job summary

Gorsuch in Avon, CO is seeking a Ski Tuner for our World Class Ski Service Center. This full-time seasonal role offers shifts in the Avon area, with options for full-time or part-time schedules starting November through the 2024-2025 ski season.

The ideal candidate tunes skis, maintains equipment, installs bindings, and ensures safety and cleanliness in the shop. Evening shifts are available, and the role may include travel to outlying stores as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with ski tuning machines and bindings installation preferred.
• Ability to drive a truck with a valid CO drivers license preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency in basic computer navigation and shop software.
• Must be a team player and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in a ski shop environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tune guest and company fleet skis.
• Perform equipment maintenance including base repair, machine upkeep, deburring and edge polishing.
• Install and test bindings to manufacturer specs.
• Transport ski fleet to outlying stores when needed.
• Maintain shop standards and a safe work environment.
• Perform daily machine maintenance.

This position is located in our World Class Ski Service Center located in Eagle-Vail, Avon, Colorado 81620.

We are seeking Ski Tuners to join our Gorsuch family. This is a great opportunity for experienced and skilled ski enthusiasts who are looking for a full time or part time seasonal position starting in November through the 2024 2025 Ski Season. We are offering both Full Time Shifts (5 days, 32-40 hours a week) and Part Time Shift (8-27 hours a week). This position offers evening shifts too; ski during the day and work in the afternoon/evening!

Job Duties Include:

• Tune guest and company fleet skis.
• Equipment maintenance including, but not limited to, repairing major base damage, daily machine maintenance. deburring and polish edges.
• Installing and testing bindings to meet manufacturer's specifications.
• Transport ski fleet to outlying stores when needed.
• Maintain shop keeping standards as outlined by Gorsuch Ski Shop Management.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Daily machine maintenance.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with ski tuning machines and binding installation preferred.
• Ability to drive a truck with valid CO Driver's License, preferred.
• Flexible schedule, evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency with general navigation of computers preferred.
• Ability to function as part of a team and be a positive team player.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $24- $30 hourly. The rate of pay is the range we reasonably expect to pay for this position and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
