Job summary

Telluride Ski & Golf is seeking a Ski Tune Shop Manager to lead tuning operations in a premium rental and retail setting in Telluride. This hands-on leadership role requires advanced tuning expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to manage peak-season pressure while upholding high standards.

You will recruit and train technicians, enforce safety initiatives, maintain SOPs, and drive shop revenue through staff training and upselling tune services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–5 years in a ski shop or similar role.
• Ability to read instructions, respond to memos, and present information.
• Proficient with POS systems and basic office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, weekends and overtime.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; initiative to improve.

Responsibilities

• Daily operations of tuning guests and rental skis.
• Return skis to proper location before next day.
• Maintain tune machines and workshop standards.
• Train staff on tune machine use and safety standards.
• Lead staff, monitor budgets, scheduling, and payroll.
• Upsell tune services to boost revenue.
