Vail Resorts is seeking Ski School Support Staff in Breckenridge, CO. The role supports ski/snowboard school operations outside of instruction, with high guest interaction across children's programming, rentals, check‑in/out, and lesson area lift operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process daily reservations and sales on resort operating systems.
• Set up/teardown indoor facilities, ensuring a clean, welcoming area for guests.
• Adhere to health code policies for facilities and common areas.
• Maintain a clean facility to accommodate high guest flow.
• Work with small children to facilitate games and activities indoors and outdoors.
• Wear a snow sports helmet while skiing/riding or assisting lessons in uniform.
• Model and promote safety standards within the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Summary

Job Specifications

• Starting Wage: $20.00/hr – $31.00/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Daily reservation and sales processing on resort operating systems.
• Daily set up and teardown of indoor facilities, including work areas, with emphasis on attention to detail to present a clean, orderly, welcoming area conducive to efficient operation.
• Understanding of, and compliance with, stated policies/procedures relevant to health code compliance for facility cleanliness (common areas, toys, equipment, etc.).
• Ability to keep and maintain a clean and orderly facility that accommodates daily high‑volume guest flow.
• Working with small children to facilitate appropriate games and activities in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Adhering to strict corporate policy regarding wearing a snow sports specific helmet while skiing/riding, or assisting lessons, in uniform.
• Understanding, leading, and modeling safety standards within the department for yourself and others; contributing to a culture of health and safety to meet zero workman’s compensatory safety goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in a fast‑paced, service‑based environment
• Fluent in all aspects of the English language
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Strong communication skills with a wide variety of guests and employees
• Strong computer skills (typing and data entry) preferred
• Early childhood care experience preferred
• Ski or snowboarding experience to assist lessons as necessary preferred
• Successfully passing the background check required

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr – $31.00/hr. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
