Job summary

PSIA-AASI Western Region seeks an Assistant Manager for the Ski & Ride School to lead staff, oversee competition services, and manage administrative functions. This role drives guest satisfaction and program excellence in a dynamic winter environment.

You will coordinate race programming, staffing, schedules, budgets, payroll support, and serve as a liaison among guests, athletes, coaches, parents, and resort departments. Emphasis on safety and collaboration to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Ski & Ride School or related ski industry role.
• Experience with ski school operations, competition services, race programs, or athlete development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ski & Ride School Manager in daily operations, ensuring guest service and efficiency.
• Lead, coach, develop, schedule, and support supervisors, instructors, coaches, and staff.
• Oversee race programs, training groups, registration, attendance tracking, and events.
• Coordinate race schedules, venues, course prep, equipment, and event execution.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Resolve guest concerns using company values and service recovery practices.
• Manage payroll support, staffing, record keeping, reporting, and inventory.
• Assist with budgeting, labor management, and expense control.
• Maintain safety culture and compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to support instruction programs.
