Job summary

Crotched Mountain is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Ski & Ride School. The role leads staff, oversees competition services, and manages departmental administration to deliver exceptional guest experiences and safe, efficient program operations.

The position coordinates race programming, staffing, budgeting, and payroll support, acting as a liaison among guests, athletes, coaches, parents, and resort departments while collaborating with leadership to grow the program.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of Ski & Ride School/instruction or related role.
• Experience with scheduling, staffing, and administrative functions.
• US Ski & Snowboard coaching certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operation of the Ski & Ride School ensuring guest service excellence.
• Lead, coach, schedule, and support supervisors, instructors, and staff.
• Oversee race programs, athlete registration, attendance tracking, and event logistics.
• Coordinate race schedules, venues, and equipment needs.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
• Manage payroll support, staffing, records, and program documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, labor management, and expense control.
• Maintain safety culture with policy compliance and risk management.
• Collaborate with other resort departments to support programs.
