Job summary

Jack Frost and Big Boulder Ski Resort seeks a Ski Patrol Manager to provide strategic leadership for all ski patrol operations, safety, and incident response. This role oversees professional and volunteer patrol teams, staffing, training, budgeting, scheduling, and guest service excellence.

You will collaborate with Mountain Operations and external agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and strong safety performance while driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Patrol experience.
• Current OEC certification.
• Expert skiing or riding ability.
• Strong knowledge of ski area operations and mountain safety practices.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall financial management of the Ski Patrol department, including labor and operating budgets.
• Oversee day-to-day Ski Patrol operations in partnership with Patrol leadership to ensure safe, efficient mountain operations.
• Lead the candidate/apprentice program, including staffing levels, budgets, testing, and forecasting future patrol staffing needs.
• Collaborate with Mountain Operations and external agencies to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee winter setup and spring teardown, grooming priorities, and incident response.
