Job summary

The Little Nell in Aspen is seeking a dedicated Steward to clean and store silverware, glassware and kitchen items, while assisting with food prep as needed. This role reports to the Executive Steward and supports high standards in a luxury hotel environment.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, some kitchen experience, and basic English. This seasonal full-time position offers benefits and opportunities within Aspen Snowmass hospitality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
• ServSafe or similar food safety course certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and stack all dishes properly.
• Store dishes and silver in the designated locations.
• Set up cleaning area: dish machine setup and ensure proper water levels.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and assist in pre/post shift cleaning.
• Assist with storage of food deliveries.
• Clean kitchen walls, floors, and loading docks as needed.
• Disassemble and clean dishwasher before end of shift.
• Post cautions when floors are wet to ensure safety.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in good condition.
• Assist with preparing food items according to chef specifications.
• Follow daily prep list to ensure items are ready for service.
• Report issues with food product or equipment to Executive Steward.
• Other duties as assigned.
