Job summary

The Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Winter Seasonal Ski Concierge team members to deliver exceptional, personalized service throughout the 2026-2027 ski season.

From greeting guests each morning to preparing and transporting their equipment to the Gorsuch Ski Café, you’ll help create a seamless luxury ski experience so guests can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time enjoying Vail’s world-class slopes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year Customer Service experience.
• Good physical condition, able to carry heavy loads.
• Excellent communications skills, attention to detail, ability to “think on your feet”, and must be well organized as well as personable & polite.
• Must be able to work outside and inside in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Report to work neatly as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain a teamwork orientation with co-workers.
• Serves guests with a friendly and positive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
• Make the pick-up and drop-off transfers of all ski equipment between the hotel and ski valet.
• Control inventory of ski equipment and minimize loss.
• Maintain a constant presence at the Ski Valet to ensure guest satisfaction in a timely manner.
• Assist guests with storage and retrieval of ski equipment.
• Advise guests on in-house venues and activities.
• Report unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to the Ski Valet Supervisor or Manager on Duty.
• Perform frequent cleaning/maintenance on ski racks and all ski valet areas

Application Deadline: Hiring will occur on a rolling basis. Applications will be accepted until October 1st or until the positions are filled.

Winter Seasonal Dates: 11/13/2026 - 4/25/2027 - Can change based on business levels.

Schedule: This job requires weekends and holidays.

Primary Purpose of Position

Ski Valet will extend the highest level of personalized service to all guests and patrons of the ski valet. Valets are also responsible for transferring ski equipment and gear to and from the Gorsuch Ski Café for hotel guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Will report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain a teamwork orientation towards co-workers.
• Serves guests in every possible way, exhibiting a friendly and positive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
• Will make the pick-up and drop-off transfers of all ski equipment between the hotel and ski valet.
• Controls inventory of ski equipment and manages to minimize any loss.
• Maintains a constant presence at the Ski Valet to insure guest satisfaction in a timely manner.
• Assists guests with storage and retrieval of ski equipment.
• Assists in advising guests of all In-house venues and activities.
• Reports any unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to the Ski Valet Supervisor or Manager on Duty.
• Performs frequent cleaning/maintenance on ski racks and all ski valet areas

Recommended Skills and Qualifications

Essential Physical Requirements

• Must be in uniform; a clean and neat appearance is a must.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift, 8-12 hours.
• Must be able to lift 10 to 50 pounds for the duration of the shift.
