Job summary

FMC Ice Sports in Marlborough, MA is seeking part-time Lead Instructors to oversee Learn to Skate and Learn to Play programs under a Supervisor. You'll educate participants on safe ice habits, evaluate student placements, and handle attendance and program documentation, while delivering friendly, professional customer service.

Applicants should skate proficiently; ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4+; hockey players with league experience are welcome. Training and paid hours vary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience assisting or teaching skating classes is preferred.
• Applicants must be able to ice skate proficiently; ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4+; hockey players with multiple years of league play.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses customer service skills to control customer interactions.
• Educates the public to the habits and attitudes of safe ice activities.
• Accurately evaluates placements of students for skating instructions.
• Prepares/completes program documents like attendance, recommendations, etc.
• Enforcement of all rules regarding rink policies and operating procedures.
• Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patrons and staff.
• Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the Program Supervisor on time.
• Attends scheduled staff meetings.
• Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned.
