Job summary

FMC Ice Sports in Massachusetts seeks Lead Instructors to work under the supervision of a program Supervisor, guiding learn-to-skate or learn-to-play sessions. You will interact with children and adults, demonstrate proper skating techniques, and perform related customer-experience duties.

This is a part-time role with programs mostly in the afternoon, evenings, and on weekends. Training and base pay are provided, with opportunities for instructor-related work and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience assisting or teaching skating classes is preferred.
• Applicants must be able to ice skate proficiently. Figure skaters should have achieved and passed ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4 and up.
• Hockey players should have participated in multiple years of formal league play.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and manage group activities.
• Educate public on safe ice activities and skating habits.
• Assess student placements for skating instruction.
• Complete attendance, recommendations, and program documents.
