Job summary

City of Casper is seeking enthusiastic Learn-to-Skate instructors for the Casper Ice Arena. Classes are typically 30 minutes and held Mondays starting at 5:30 p.m., suitable for skaters of varying ages and abilities.

Instructors will join the Recreation Division as Recreation Instructor I or II based on experience. Responsibilities include planning and teaching classes, maintaining records, and delivering a positive skating experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Minimum of six months experience in a specialized class or program.
• CPR and First Aid certifications within six months of hire preferred.
• willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and supervises participants in ice skating classes.
• Maintains attendance records and prepares class summaries.
• Explains techniques and demonstrates activities to all participants.
• Ensures a safe environment and provides general customer service.
• Represents the City of Casper in a professional manner.
• Performs other duties as needed.
