Job summary

City of Casper is seeking enthusiastic Learn-to-Skate instructors for Casper Ice Arena. Classes are typically 30 minutes, held on Mondays at 5:30 p.m., and offered to skaters of varying ages and abilities. Instructors will teach skills, foster confidence, and create a positive ice experience.

Instructors will be hired at Recreation Instructor I or II level based on experience. City of Casper emphasizes safe instruction, strong customer service, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Six months experience in a specialized class such as dance or ice skating preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred within 6 months of hire; training available.

Responsibilities

• Plans, instructs, and supervises participants in a specialized class such as ice skating.
• Maintains attendance and class records.
• Prepares a class summary and instructional materials for assigned classes.
• Explains and demonstrates skating techniques to participants.
• Maintains a safe environment for participants.
• Provides customer service and communicates facility information and policies.
