Job summary

Confidential Employer in Mukilteo, WA is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Project Manager to coordinate and drive civil/construction projects on-site. You will manage schedules, procurement, and subcontractor relations while maintaining cost and quality objectives.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in project engineering/management with structural concrete experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and project tools. Competitive salary and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction Project Engineer or Project Management experience.
• Structural concrete project experience required.
• Civil, sitework, earthwork, or underground utility construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with subcontractor and supplier coordination, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, billing, and change orders.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership mindset with the ability to coordinate effectively across field and office teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, HeavyJob, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil and building construction projects from procurement through completion.
• Manage material supplier and subcontractor negotiations, buyouts, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements.
• Coordinate RFIs and submittals to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Create, review, and interpret construction schedules.
• Prepare schedules of values and manage monthly project billings.
• Track extra work and prepare change order proposals; price and negotiate change orders while maintaining accurate project documentation.
• Support self-performed structural concrete, earthwork, and underground utility scopes.
• Collaborate closely with field leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Help identify and resolve project issues while maintaining schedule, quality, and cost objectives.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Experience with self-performed civil construction, particularly earthwork and underground utilities, is strongly valued.
