Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating (site work and demolition).
• Knowledge of preconstruction processes and bidding.
• Proficiency with HCSS Heavybid or similar estimating software.
• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team oriented.
• Proactive in anticipating issues and solving problems.
• Good understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for site work and demolition projects.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for compliance with specs and scope.
• Use estimating software to create accurate bids.
• Collaborate with project managers during preconstruction for expert input.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and estimate reviews.
• Track and adjust project costs as needed throughout the bid process.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist in negotiation and awarding of contracts.
