Responsibilities

• 1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including site work and demolition.
• 2. Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and scope.
• 3. Using estimating software, such as HCSS Heavybid, to create accurate and comprehensive bids.
• 4. Working closely with project managers and other team members in the preconstruction process, providing your expert advice and insights.
• 5. Attending pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project estimate reviews.
• 6. Continuously tracking and updating project costs, adjusting estimates as necessary.
• 7. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• 8. Assisting in the negotiation and awarding of contracts.

Qualifications

• 1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in site work and demolition.
• 2. Extensive knowledge and experience with preconstruction processes and bidding.
• 3. Proficiency in using HCSS Heavybid or similar estimating software.
• 4. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• 6. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and create effective solutions.
• 7. A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
• 8. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
