Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Workforce Development Manager for the Hopewell site to lead training programs and build a robust operator talent pipeline. The role partners with site leadership and HR to ensure stability and growth through targeted learning initiatives.

You will drive continuous improvement of training processes, leverage lean practices, and oversee the development of qualification standards while managing the training budget and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Instructional Technology.
• 10+ years of experience in Chemical Manufacturing with training/learning curriculum design and development.
• 5+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt (or Blackbelt) certification or equivalent experience implementing productivity/continuous improvement projects.
• Experience in management of projects, troubleshooting, team building, financial budgets and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall training and learning strategy for the Hopewell site and develop training programs for employees to meet organizational goals efficiently.
• Plans & Aligns: develop strategies to accelerate operator training progression and standardize KPIs for tracking progress.
• Change Leadership: drive continuous improvement using lean practices and technology to accelerate efforts.
• Leadership, Team & Culture: manage training staff, ensure consistent training expectations, and oversee safety-focused development.
