Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a Workforce Development Manager for the Hopewell site to lead the training and learning strategy, designing programs to rapidly elevate operator capabilities and meet site goals.

You will partner with site leadership and HR to drive continuous improvement in training, manage the budget, and oversee onboarding, qualification, and safety-focused development across hourly work groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, HR, organizational development, or instructional technology.
• 10+ years in chemical manufacturing with training design experience.
• 5+ years in supervisory/leadership role.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management and OSHA guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall training and learning strategy for the Hopewell site.
• Develop training programs to equip employees to meet organizational goals efficiently.
• Mitigate risk by accelerating operator training progression and reducing cycle time.
• Standardize training and progression KPIs to monitor progress and results.
• Manage the site training budget and grant applications.
• Oversee onboarding and qualification processes for hourly staff.
• Promote safety awareness and hazard recognition improvements in partnership with HS&E.
