Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is looking to hire a Site Technician 2 for Channahon State Park. This position will use their skills to maintain and repair the site buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment, and operate a 35 foot aerial lift for removal and pruning of trees from the canal prism, operate several dump trucks with air brakes and a 30 foot trailer with a GCWR of 26,001 or more pounds to transport equipment gravel and rock. This position will disinfect restrooms, sell camping and firewood permits to the public and on a seasonal basis provide leadership and direction to seasonal staff and volunteers.
