Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled facilities maintenance professional to maintain and optimize industrial control systems, HVAC, and building management networks. You will manage Maximo CMMS tasks, coordinate with contractors on Tridium platforms, and provide after-hours support for critical systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience with PLCs/HMIs/SCADA and strong documentation skills. Certifications like LOTO and First Aid/CPR are preferred for a safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and building automation.
Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
Experience with building management systems, particularly Tridium.
Maximo CMMS experience required; Corrigo work order experience helpful.
LOTO, First Aid/CPR certifications; OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Job description

Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize dock doors and levelers, HVAC systems, PLCs, and related control systems
Respond to and resolve Maximo preventive maintenance tasks, Corrigo work orders, and client service calls daily
Manage building management systems, including Tridium platforms, in coordination with contractors
Provide emergency after-hours support for critical facility systems as needed
Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the Facility Team
Develop and update Technical Information System documents for the maintenance team
Maintain and update facility drawings and logic repositories in JLL and client SharePoint locations
Complete problem-solving documentation and safety catch reports monthly
Train and mentor maintenance technicians on Maximo, computer systems, and technical procedures
Assist with work permit creation, onboarding, and communication with client leadership
Coordinate weekend coverage for off-site incident commander duties
Participate in weekly JLL team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead controls projects focused on continuous improvement and cost savings
Research and recommend alternatives for discontinued parts and equipment
Manage and maintain three operational maintenance laptops with required software and IT updates

Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field preferred
Minimum 3–5 years of experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and building automation systems
Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)
Experience with building management systems, particularly Tridium
Strong understanding of VFDs, HMI systems, and SCADA applications
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings
Maximo CMMS experience required
Proficiency with Corrigo work order management system
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
JLL Workday, JLL Connect, and Cority experience preferred
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification required
First Aid/CPR certification required
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
EPA compliance training experience preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Flexibility to provide off-hours emergency support when required
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Ability to work in industrial environments including labs and mechanical rooms
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
Able to stand, walk, climb, and kneel for extended periods
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
