Job summary

Greater Joliet Area YMCA is seeking an organized site supervisor to oversee before and after school programs for children ages 5-12. You will lead staff, ensure safety, conduct ongoing training, and maintain supplies and communications with families.

The role emphasizes adherence to YMCA policies and collaboration with the site coordinators to deliver a quality, values-driven experience for children and their parents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age; 1–3 years experience with children in before/after care preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, epi-pen and Child Abuse Prevention training required before employment; willing to obtain licensing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead before/after school staff and site coordinators.
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing field training for new team members.
• Conduct weekly audits and provide constructive feedback to staff.
• Handle staff/child issues and communicate with the director for resolutions.
• Ensure program supplies, cleaning, first aid materials, and snacks are maintained.
• Complete incident reports and parent communications accurately and timely.
