Job summary

Saft is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead on-site teams and commissioning activities for battery energy storage systems in a dynamic project environment. You will supervise the commissioning engineers, system engineers, HVAC controls engineers and Quality Managers, coordinating with subcontractors and supporting safety and quality processes.

The role requires hands-on field experience in electrical and mechanical disciplines, strong leadership of diverse teams, and collaboration with customers

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical discipline.
• At least 3 years on-site electrical project supervision.
• Experience supervising multiple personnel during industrial projects.
• Experience managing a technical team.
• Battery knowledge a plus.
• Fluent in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead day-to-day activities of commissioning engineers, system engineers, HVAC controls engineers and Quality Managers.
• Liase on-site with subcontractors and support Saft quality reports, documentation and checklists.
• Provide site inputs for quality reports and documentation; assist commissioning, testing and troubleshooting.
• Support all safety initiatives for projects with Site Manager and leadership.
• Oversee daily operations, track and monitor project progress to meet standards.
• Interface with HSE, project managers, and installation and commissioning managers.
• Learn Saft ESS product line and document technical knowledge and lessons learned.

Job description

The Site Supervisor directly supervises the on site team and commissioning team. The Site Supervisor takes direction from the Site Manager and performs onsite supervision and coordination with subcontractors, provides site inputs for quality reports, support to commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing of battery energy storage systems. Required to have on site hands on field experience with an Electrical, Mechanical and troubleshooting background.

• Minimum Associate's Degree with an electrical or mechanical discipline
• Minimum of three years on site electrical project supervision
• Experience supervising multiple personnel during project execution of industrial projects in the power generation / energy field / EPC works
• Experience managing a technical team
• Battery knowledge a plus
• Fluent in English and fluency in Spanish a plus
• Directly leads the day to day activities of the commissioning engineers, system engineers, HVAC controls engineers and Quality Managers. Liase any techincal support questions between the customer, stakeholders and Saft, if needed.
• Onsite supervision and coordination with subcontractors, provides site inputs or supports the completion of Saft quality reports / documentation / checklists
• Support all Safety for projects initiatives with the support of the Site Manager and Leadership
• Oversee daily operations, track and monitor project progress, adhering to prearranged standards
• Participate in continuous improvement of project execution and the quality system
• Interface with HSE, project managers, and installation and commissioning managers
• Learn and understand Saft ESS product line
• Assist in documenting technical knowledge and lessons learned
