Job summary

Amentum is seeking a S3D Site Superintendent at the Hanford WTCC site to direct field work for scaffold and related services, ensuring safe, compliant execution and high quality results. You will monitor progress, manage permits, and coordinate with field engineering and subcontractors.

The position requires a degree or equivalent supervision experience, DOE or DOD exposure, and a rotating 4-on/4-off day shift. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction or related discipline with 2 years progressive supervision experience (DOE/construction/maintenance/work package prep/system turnover/excavations).
• In lieu of degree, High School Diploma and 4 years progressive supervision related experience (DOE/construction/maintenance/work package prep/system turnover/excavations).
• Preferred: scaffold erection methods and safety compliance; building maintenance; work packaging/planning/scheduling; DOE or DOD experience; general construction; supervising Building Trades Crafts.

Responsibilities

• Develop work strategies, schedules, ensure materials area availability, report progress, and resolve conflicts in design and construction related to installation and testing of installed commodities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable procedures, policies, and rules.
• Responsible for safe and efficient operations of given scope and assigned personnel.
• Coordinate with other customers and organizations for planning of work execution and evaluation of impacts.
• Coordinate with Field Engineering and Subcontractors to plan/support project schedules.
• Review and support development of work packages, Excavation Permits, Confined Space Permits, LOTO’s and other permits.
• Perform other duties as required by S3D management.
• Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing safety and quality values in performance of work.
• Emergency preparedness—act as the Site Superintendent during off shift hours.
• Attend cross functional meetings, provide schedule status, update organizations and customers.
• May perform/supervise excavations, snow removal, concrete work, grounds maintenance, janitorial support or other scopes.
