Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified Operations/Technical Specialist to support the Waste Treatment Plant at the Hanford site. This role demands extensive experience with DOE regulations, Excel and Power BI, eSOMS, and field/remote control systems to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining data integrity, writing procedures, training, and coordinating with project teams to meet safety and environmental standards at the WTP site near Richland, WA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years for associate level acceptable.
• Associate or higher in engineering/science preferred; substitutions allowed for experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for up to four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work safely, in compliance with permits and regulations.
• Maintain and secure the eSOMS database and support training.
• Review documents to ensure regulatory and procedural alignment.
• Support plant operations interfaces with other project teams.
• Develop procedures, work instructions and training materials.
• Conduct facility walkdowns and identify deficiencies for action.
• Ensure DOEs and safety standards are upheld in planning and performance.
• Assist in implementing project-wide initiatives affecting operations.
