Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Site Security Coordinator to maintain safety, security, and controlled access at a modern distribution center. You will be the primary on-site security presence, protecting team members, visitors, inventory, and automated systems while supporting site leadership and corporate policies.

You will monitor badge access, conduct patrols, manage entry/exit points, respond to incidents, and coordinate with emergency responders.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of security, law enforcement, military, or industrial safety experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with badge access software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Access Control and Facility Security
• Enforce site security protocols and escalation procedures.
• Oversee emergency alarm monitoring and response.
• Distribute facility access badges/keys as provided/directed by GM, MPP, or Asset Protection.
• Audit active badge holders and compare against current employee roster, contractor/vendor lists, and temporary work assignments.
• Identify terminated employees, inactive badge holders and expired contractor credentials
• Validate that access levels across the board align with job role and operational necessity.
• Control and monitor all entry and exit points to the facility; verify visitor identifications and conduct bag checks during high-traffic times.
• Monitor dock doors, yard activity, and secure perimeters; coordinate with receiving/operations/transportation as needed.
• Verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Identify and respond to suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards.
• Conduct scheduled and random patrols of warehouse, office, and exterior areas.
• Maintain awareness of inbound shipment schedules and facility projects for security.
