Job summary

KOMAN Advantage LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) and Quality Control Manager (QCM) to lead safety and quality across federal construction projects. The role demands OSHA compliance, EM-385-1-1, and strong coordination with subs and project managers.

SSHO/QCM will develop safety programs, conduct inspections, review docs, and mentor field teams. Ideal candidates have 7–10 years SSHO Federal experience, EM-385 certification, and ability to complete QCM

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• EM-385 certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to complete QCM training within 90 days.
• 7-10 years SSHO experience on federal projects (DoD, USACE, NAVFAC).
• 7+ years of Quality Control experience or 10 years in lieu of degree.
• Experience managing QC inspectors and processes.
• At least 3 years of federal construction environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and support to all employees and subcontractors.
• Enforce OSHA, EM-385-1-1, and project safety regulations.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety meetings and maintain documentation.
• Perform hazard assessments and correct unsafe conditions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents; complete reports.
• Ensure workers are trained in safe work procedures and PPE usage.
• Administer the Safety Program and maintain compliance docs.
• Assist with audits and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions on all sites.
• Coordinate with project leadership on safety violations and disciplinary actions.
