Job Details

• Title: Site Safety Manager
• Location: New Carlisle, Indiana
• Reports to: Safety Director
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with Safety Committee & Executive Leadership on safety policies and manuals.
2. Assist in developing policies, training programs, and safety procedures.
3. Manage injury/incident reporting, investigation, and claims.
4. Develop and submit safety proposals, conduct onboarding, and maintain training records.
5. Review and develop safety hazard assessment documentation and site safety plans.
6. Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and work with clients to address safety issues.
7. Support staff management, provide guidance, coaching, and promote safety culture.
8. Assist with safety equipment management, problem solving, and emergency response.
9. Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety + 1 year experience, OR Safety Certifications (STSC, CHST, CSP) + 3 years experience, OR 5 years relevant safety experience + OSHA 30 – Construction.
• Proven experience as a safety manager preferred.
• OSHA certifications and experience writing safety plans and hazard analyses.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and construction industry standards.
• Valid driver’s license.

Skills and Attributes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong report writing, risk assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions and build positive relationships.
• Effective in English communication with diverse stakeholders.

Physical and Work Environment

Regular sitting, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Work may involve outdoor exposure, noise, and safety hazards. Reasonable accommodations available.
