FDRsafety is seeking a Site Safety Manager to oversee a construction project in Detroit, MI. This position will last approximately 3 years and is expected to operate on a Monday-Friday dayshift schedule for 40-50 hours/week. The individual will be responsible for providing toolbox talks, site walkthroughs, inspections, auditing, assisting, and advising management of their findings daily for a single site location.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, or related field OR BCSP certification (ASP, CHST, or CSP) or similar certification required.
• OSHA 30 Hour in Construction Certification required.
• First-Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience as a lead, with proven ability to identify workable solutions to eliminate hazards.
• Strong background in construction procedures and processes.
• Experience developing and facilitating safety programs and training.
• Experience working with MIOSHA.
• Experience managing safety on large, complex projects.
• Experience with confined space, fire protection, and hot work permits required.
