Job summary

Intuitive Safety Solutions (ISS) is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support an electrical contractor on a large data center construction project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This full-time onsite role demands a field-focused safety professional with hands-on coaching and strong construction-safety knowledge.

Expect ~60 hours/week in the field with documentation and meetings taking the rest. Pay starts at $50/hour plus OT; client provides site PPE and travel is reimbursed where applicable.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Current Construction Health and Safety Technician certification.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and electrical hazards.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, lead orientations, document observations, and investigate incidents.
• Strong field presence with a coaching and mentoring style.

Responsibilities

Intuitive Safety Solutions is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support an electrical contractor on a large data center construction project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This full-time onsite assignment is ideal for a field-focused safety professional who combines strong construction safety knowledge with a practical coaching and mentoring approach.

Project Overview

This large, active data center construction project is in the early stages of the electrical contractor's testing and auditing scope. The Site Safety Manager will support a low-voltage electrical workforce and is expected to spend approximately 67 to 75 percent of the time in the field and 25 to 33 percent on documentation, meetings, and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new-hire safety orientations and reinforce site-specific requirements.
• Conduct routine field safety audits, observations, and walks across the assigned scope.
• Complete customer-required safety observations, monthly reports, and related documentation.
• Attend internal project meetings and participate in meetings and safety walks with the general contractor.
• Continuously coach and mentor field employees on safe work practices and corrective actions.
• Manage and track required personal protective equipment for the project team.
• Report incidents promptly, conduct incident investigations, identify contributing factors, and support corrective actions.
• Coordinate appropriate care for injured employees, including use of the site medic or an off-site occupational clinic when needed.
• Use the customer's reporting platform and the contractor's internal Smartsheet tools accurately and consistently.
• Communicate emerging risks, trends, and significant safety concerns to project leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Current Construction Health and Safety Technician certification required.
• Working knowledge of applicable OSHA construction standards and common electrical construction hazards.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, lead orientations, document observations, and investigate incidents.
• Strong field presence with a coaching and mentoring style that builds accountability and trust.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with craft employees, supervisors, client representatives, and the general contractor.
• Ability to work onsite approximately 60 hours per week, Monday through Saturday.
• Ability to wear required PPE, access active construction areas, and perform regular site walks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior data center or other mission-critical construction experience.
• Experience supporting electrical or low-voltage contractors.
• Experience with customer-based safety reporting systems and Smartsheet.

Travel Vehicle and PPE

This assignment requires mobilization using the employee's personal vehicle.

Approved mobilization and demobilization mileage is reimbursed at the applicable IRS mileage rate based on the authorized route. Travel time is paid at 50 percent of the standard hourly rate, and eligible travel days include per diem.

The client will provide the required site PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and a high-visibility vest. The consultant must provide sturdy over-the-ankle work boots.

The role may require operating a side-by-side utility vehicle or a similar project vehicle. Applicable authorization and site requirements must be completed before operation.
