Intuitive Safety Solutions (ISS) seeks an experienced Safety Manager to serve as an Owner's Representative for large-scale data center construction projects in Lithia Springs, GA. Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in safety or construction management.
• Minimum 3 years construction safety experience; 5 years in specified environments if no degree.
• Experience with data center, mission-critical, or industrial projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field safety observations on active construction projects.
• Monitor contractor compliance with CSMP and regulatory standards.
• Perform site inspections and CRA inspections and observe HRAs.
• Document observations, incidents and corrective actions in Procore.
• Analyze safety trends and escalate significant concerns to leadership.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly safety reports and participate in meetings.
• Exercise Stop Work Authority when imminent danger exists.
• Maintain independence while building contractor relationships.

Pay Rate: $60.00+/hour (DOE) + bonus eligible

Paid Time Off: 120 Hours

Position Overview

ISS is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to serve as an Owner's Representative for large-scale data center construction projects.

This is an independent oversight role responsible for monitoring construction safety performance, evaluating General Contractor (GC) compliance with project safety requirements, and providing professional observations, reporting, and guidance to project leadership.

This position does not manage the contractor's safety program and does not supervise contractor personnel. Instead, the consultant serves as the owner's independent field representative by observing work activities, documenting findings, identifying trends, and escalating significant safety concerns when necessary.

The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, relationship builder, and experienced construction safety professional who can establish credibility with contractors while maintaining independence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field safety observations on active construction projects.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project Health & Safety requirements, the Construction Safety Management Plan (CSMP), and applicable regulatory standards.
• Perform routine site inspections and Critical Risk Area (CRA) inspections.
• Observe High-Risk Activities (HRAs) to verify required controls are established before and during work.
• Document observations, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions within Procore.
• Monitor contractor incident investigations and verify corrective action completion.
• Analyze project safety trends and identify recurring risk patterns.
• Participate in project meetings, safety briefings, and coordination sessions.
• Provide daily updates to project management and safety leadership.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project safety reports.
• Escalate significant safety concerns to project leadership.
• Exercise Stop Work Authority when an imminent danger exists.
• Maintain professional relationships with contractors while preserving the independence of the Owner's Representative role.

Required Qualifications

Education

One of the following is required:

• Bachelor's Degree in:
• Occupational Health & Safety
• Construction Management
• Related technical discipline

AND

• Minimum three (3) years of construction safety experience

OR

• Minimum five (5) years of construction safety experience in industrial, civil, mission-critical, manufacturing, semiconductor, energy, or technology construction environments instead of a degree.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting one or more of the following:

• Data Center Construction
• Mission Critical Facilities
• Semiconductor Construction
• Owner's Representative projects
• Multiple simultaneous construction projects

Experience with:

• Procore
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Construction safety reporting
• Executive presentations
• Safety metrics and trend analysis

Preferred Certifications

While certifications are not required, the following are highly preferred:

• CHST – Construction Health & Safety Technician
• CSP – Certified Safety Professional
• OSHA 30 Construction
• First Aid / CPR
