Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of construction industry experience.
• Minimum of 3 years conducting job-site inspections.
• Minimum of 3 years performing safety audits.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices, regulations, and compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with field personnel, subcontractors, and management.
• Ability to identify safety risks and follow through to resolution.
• Willingness to maintain certifications and pursue ongoing safety education.
• Comfortable learning and using new technology to improve safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement safety programs and policies.
• Conduct on-site safety inspections and assessments.
• Establish and review disease control plans with stakeholders.
• Identify safety violations and implement corrective actions.
• Verify deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner.
• Conduct safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors.
• Perform task-specific risk assessments and develop safe work plans.
• Review site safety accommodations, equipment, and PPE.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and SDS.
• Complete accident and incident investigations.
• Accompany OSHA reps during site inspections when possible.
• Participate in meetings and maintain safety records.
• Provide safety input during bidding and preconstruction.
• Maintain required safety certifications and training.
• Stay current on safety regulations and technologies.
