Job summary

MasTec is seeking a Safety Intern to provide general administrative support to the jobsite Safety Department and assist the Safety Manager and Coordinator with safety-related matters. The role works closely with the corporate Environmental, Safety & Health team and supports drug and alcohol coordination and safety documentation.

You will participate in toolbox talks, maintain safety records, and help prepare meetings and presentations while ensuring compliance with MSHA/OSHA regulations and site

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Associate Degree program in Safety, Construction or related field.
• Knowledgeable about MIC Health and Safety programs and project regulations.
• Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA regulations is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager and Safety Coordinator with safety tasks.
• Coordinate and present safety training to meet MIC/client requirements.
• Maintain safety binders, manuals and safety records.
