Job description

Primary Responsibilities

1. Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities by collaborating with project management and supervisory personnel.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections of construction areas to ensure compliance with company rules and regulations.
3. Complete inspection reports promptly, documenting deficiencies and following up to ensure corrective actions are taken.
4. Provide safety training to staff and craft workers to enhance safety awareness and understanding, aligning with company and client safety programs.
5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, completing all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
6. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned to support organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

1. At least two years of related work experience or education in Safety, including one year of on-site construction Environmental Health and Safety responsibilities.
2. Knowledge of Loss Control and Claims Management through hands-on experience.
3. Basic understanding of construction safety rules and OSHA requirements, including OSHA Parts 1910 and 1926, NEC, NFPA, and ANSI standards.
4. Knowledge of state Workers Compensation laws and reporting procedures.
5. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
