Job description

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through collaboration with project management and supervisory personnel.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  3. Complete inspection reports promptly, documenting deficiencies and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  4. Provide safety training to staff and craft workers to promote safety awareness, aligning with company and client safety programs.
  5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, completing all required documentation in a timely manner.
  6. Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. At least two years of relevant work experience or related education in Safety, including one year of on-site construction Environmental Health and Safety responsibilities.
  2. Hands-on experience with Loss Control and Claims Management.
  3. Knowledge of construction safety rules and OSHA regulations, including OSHA Parts 1910 and 1926, NEC, NFPA, and ANSI standards.
  4. Understanding of state Workers Compensation laws and reporting requirements.
  5. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
