Job summary

Bright Machines is seeking a Site Automation Engineer to own the performance and reliability of robotic assembly systems deployed at a major customer site. You’ll be the primary technical interface between the customer, manufacturing partners, field teams, and Bright Machines’ remote experts.

Using live data, diagnostics, and hands-on automation troubleshooting, you will resolve hardware and software issues, drive continuous improvement, and help ensure high system uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in automation, robotics and PLCs.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor multiple robotic assembly systems at a major tech customer site.
• Interact with customer and manufacturing partners on system performance.
• Collect feedback and contribute to continuous improvement and product roadmap.
• Serve as the primary interface between remote experts and on-site teams including field service engineers.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software using live data and diagnostic tools to determine corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed status reports for stakeholders.
• Educate and train customers on device operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns promptly.
• Travel up to 10%, mostly for training.
