Job summary

Comtron, part of the MEDFAR group, is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, security, and continuity of our Windows- and Linux-based production environment in Great Neck, NY.

You will manage production infrastructure, backups, disaster recovery, and deployments, while supporting modernization and cloud/hybrid initiatives. Collaborate with IT, Security, QA and Support to ensure high availability and resilient services for our Medgen/EHR/LIS platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Linux administration experience in production environments.
• Strong Windows Server and IIS administration experience.
• Experience with high-availability production systems.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure and Reliability: manage lifecycle of Windows/Linux production servers, monitor uptime and performance, maintain high-availability configurations.
• Backups and DR: own backup policies, retention, and DR testing with defined RTO/RPO.
• Deployments: manage staging/UAT/production hosting, CI/CD tooling, and deployment windows.
