Job summary

Technology Partners is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Site Reliability Engineering to ensure high-availability rental ticketing systems across cloud, web services, and legacy infrastructure. You will monitor health, troubleshoot production issues, and drive reliability improvements in a largely remote role within United States CST hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a software development or engineering environment supporting cloud, middleware, and infrastructure solutions.
• Proficiency with supporting languages and technologies such as Java, Web Services, C/C++, and PL/SQL.
• At least 2 years of experience configuring middleware like Tuxedo, WebLogic, and Tomcat.
• Hands-on experience as an AIX/Linux system administrator with supporting tools.
• 2+ years of scripting experience in Shell/Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, or similar.
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or equivalents.
• Ability to work within CST hours with U.S. work authorization, without sponsorship needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• Must be committed to security best practices in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for system availability, performance, and capacity planning for rental solutions.
• Monitor system health and respond to outages, performance issues, and capacity concerns proactively.
• Partner with engineering teams to design and optimize infrastructure architecture for scalability and resilience.
• Analyze production issues, diagnose root causes, and lead resolution efforts to minimize downtime.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and operational standards to ensure best practices.
• Support system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities while maintaining system stability.
• Lead efforts to automate operational tasks through scripting and other DevOps tools.
• Provide expertise and mentorship on site reliability best practices across the team and organization.
