Job summary

Comcast's FreeWheel unit seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to own the infrastructure behind Streaming Hub. You will ensure reliability, scalability and performance for a high-volume ad platform, operating at a 24x7 cadence across production environments and cloud services.

You will design and run IaC pipelines with Terraform and Ansible, manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve observability, incident response, and deployment processes for live events.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS experience is required (or OCI).
• Hands-on cloud infra, networking, and production environments.
• Deep understanding of Amazon EKS, VPCs, Load Balancers, Route 53, IAM, Security Groups, networking performance.
• Extensive experience operating and managing Kubernetes in production.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain business-critical production infrastructure supporting FreeWheel's Streaming Hub.
• Design and implement infrastructure changes to support new product launches and client requirements.
• Partner with product and engineering to build/modify infra for platform enhancements.
• Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes environments (Amazon EKS).
• Ensure platform availability, reliability, scalability, security, and performance 24x7.
• Participate in root cause analysis and incident resolution for complex production issues.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform and automation frameworks.
• Automate operational processes using Python, Go, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Coordinate with offshore teams to provide 12-hour daily coverage and incident response.
• Collaborate to improve observability, monitoring, deployment processes, and production readiness.
• Support high-profile live events and traffic spikes for platform stability.
