Job summary

Comcast is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, reliability, and observability for the Freewheel BuyerCloud and Revenue Science teams. This role focuses on AWS and Kubernetes-based systems with IaC and modern tooling.

The candidate will design scalable infrastructure, write IaC scripts, and contribute to incident response and on-call rotations. Strong distributed-systems background and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years administration with Linux, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• 3+ years configuration management with CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible.
• 3+ years coding in Python/Java/C++.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Education flexibility: combination of coursework and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure solutions for high scalability, reliability, and sub-second performance.
• Write code/scripts to support IaC, configuration management, and automated incident resolution.
• Support and extend the observability stack to capture and alert on issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and serve as escalation contact for incidents.
• Write system documentation, playbooks, and instruction manuals.
• Other duties as assigned.
