Job summary

Geotab is a global IoT and connected transportation company seeking a Site Reliability Engineer. You will provide escalated engineering support for core software like MyGeotab, maintain production servers, and collaborate with development teams to restore service quickly during disruptions.

You’ll join a fast-paced, hybrid team focused on reliability, automation, and scalable systems. A strong candidate has 1–3 years in SRE/DevOps and solid scripting skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Server Operations/DevOps/SRE or similar role
• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Electrical, Software Engineering or related field
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a systematic problem-solving approach and experience with PowerShell, Python, SQL, and Linux-based systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage across all levels of the organization and communicate technical solutions effectively
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills, able to manage multiple tasks and respond to fast-changing priorities under pressure
• Entrepreneurial mindset, technical competence in Google Suite, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, flat organization

Responsibilities

• Provide escalated engineering support for production systems and ensure service restoration.
• Maintain production servers and coordinate with development teams for fixes.
• Work with teams across the organization to improve monitoring dashboards and tooling.
• Plan and execute routine maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and post-incident reviews.
