Geotab Inc. in the United States seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to provide escalated engineering support, maintain production servers, and collaborate with development teams to ensure high availability. The role emphasizes automation, on-call duties, and working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

You will engage across all levels, leverage Python, PowerShell, SQL, and Linux, and contribute to monitoring and reliability improvements within a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in Server Operations/DevOps/SRE or a similar role.
• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Electrical, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a systematic problem-solving approach and experience with Powershell, Python, SQL, and Linux-based systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization and communicate technical solutions effectively.
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills, able to manage multiple tasks and respond to fast-changing priorities under pressure.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, technical competence in Google Suite, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, flat organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide escalated engineering support for incidents and service disruptions.
• Maintain production servers and assist in restoration of normal operations.
• Collaborate with development teams across the organization to implement fixes.
• Develop and implement automation tools and frameworks to streamline tasks.
• Plan and execute routine maintenance and capacity planning.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule.
