Job summary

Proton is seeking a DevOps/SRE engineer to own the operational excellence of Proton Meet, ensuring 24/7 reliability and scalable infrastructure across global teams. You will work on research, development, load testing, and rollout of new services and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with developers to ensure proper logging, monitoring, alerting, and on-call processes, and help the fast-paced environment maintain high availability and security.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with Linux systems and Internet technologies (DNS, TLS, HTTP, WebSockets).
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Experience managing load balancing (HAProxy), data storage (PostgreSQL) and messaging systems (NATS).
• Experience with AI agents for coding, incident response, and stress testing.
• Able to operate in a fast environment with teammates in other continents and take on-call duties.
• Excellent English communications, both written and spoken.
• Bonus for experience with WebRTC and real-time streaming.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Proton Meet runs reliably 24/7 and scales with traffic and complexity.
• Work on research, development, load testing, and rollout of new services and infrastructure.
