Job summary

Xero is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen distributed systems across our global platform. You will diagnose resilience gaps, automate tooling, and champion chaos engineering to prevent incidents before they occur.

You will join a cross-continental SRE team spanning Australia and the United States, collaborating with product and infrastructure squads to embed reliability into every deployment and drive high-availability architectures across services.

Qualifications

• Solid background in site reliability engineering or DevOps.
• Experience diagnosing and strengthening distributed systems.
• Experience managing containerised workloads in Kubernetes.
• Experience running infrastructure on AWS.
• Proficiency in Golang, Python, or C#, plus curiosity for applying modern AI tools to operational challenges.
