Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Site Manufacturing Quality Manager in Huntsville to lead program-level quality efforts for production, integration, and delivery. You will manage the program quality team and interface with external stakeholders, including the US Government and DCMA.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering/Quality with 10–13 years of defense manufacturing experience, and AS9100/ISO9001 expertise. Ideal candidates will mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement within the Defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline in Manufacturing and Quality environment.
• 10–13 years of experience with prior leadership of quality or mission assurance teams in defense/aerospace production.
• Proven experience in AS9100/ISO9001 systems, configuration management, and corrective action systems.
• Strong background in production quality management for defense hardware or weapon systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead customer interactions with Army quality offices and DCMA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality team, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO, and manufacturing quality standards.
• Provide hands-on leadership to quality engineers and inspectors to ensure efficient operation and improvement.
• Coach and train program quality staff to align with QMS and sector requirements.
• Foster a program quality strategy and culture committed to excellence and rapid manufacturing scaling.
• Maintain coordination with site quality team for process control and corrective actions.
• Oversee inspection and test documentation to meet customer requirements and baselines.
• Support production readiness reviews, configuration audits, and related deliverables.
• Serve as the primary interface with external quality stakeholders including the US Government Program Office and DCMA.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to drive performance and compliance.
• Drive root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
