Job summary

ON.energy is seeking a Site Project Manager for Data Center Projects to lead the full lifecycle execution of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and hybrid energy projects at the site level across the U.S. You will mobilize sites, coordinate safety, schedule, budget, and quality, and align on-site teams and contractors with the commissioning and client requirements.

Reporting to the Project Executive, you will oversee on-site activities, manage risk, ensure timely delivery, and support turnover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in energy project management, preferably in battery energy storage.
• Experience managing EPC contractors and overseeing complex infrastructure projects at project sites.
• Proficient in project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) and budget tracking systems.
• Deep understanding of project controls, cost forecasting, and risk management best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle execution of BESS and hybrid energy projects at the site level.
• Coordinate safety, schedule, budget, engineering, quality, commissioning, and compliance activities.
• Develop and monitor project schedules using recognized tools and methodologies.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, NCRs, PCNs, and VCNs in a timely and traceable manner.
• Oversee on-site General Contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure alignment with scope and safety requirements.
• Foster coordination meetings with GC, subcontractors, and client teams to track progress and resolve issues.
• Ensure documentation and quality reporting are maintained; support close-out and handover.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate site-level project risks related to cost, safety, and delivery.
