Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the onsite Resource Management program with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

You will lead daily activities, train staff, and coordinate with customer contacts to ensure efficient service. You will drive initiatives to improve collection methods, material value, and safety performance while managing scheduling and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of industrial operations/manufacturing experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Physical ability to lift 30 lbs frequently, 65 lbs several times, and stand up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Resource Management operations with safety as a priority.
• Train new employees on daily operations and expectations.
• Maintain communication with Operations Manager and customer contacts.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in collection methods and material handling.
• Schedule material movements (MSW, metals, organics, non-regulated waste, recyclables).
• Maintain safety through equipment maintenance and facility checklists.
• Lead and coach team to meet goals and develop skills.
• Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal policies.
