Job summary

Carmeuse in Kentucky seeks a Site Operations Manager to lead mine and plant operations, driving safety, quality, and budget adherence. You will supervise production and maintenance leaders, coordinate with regional departments, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer and company goals.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on oversight of operations, with a focus on safety, cost control, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mining, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in mining, heavy industrial, or engineering industries.
• 5+ years of managerial experience with increasing responsibility.
• Outstanding leadership, judgment and mature business skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and resolve problems; detail & process oriented.
• Understanding of plant equipment – mechanical/electrical.
• Demonstrated success in driving cultural turnarounds.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain a zero-injury culture, monitor effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Provide leadership and ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations while planning resources and budgets.
• Monitor environmental compliance and housekeeping standards.
• Interface with regulatory agencies as required and maintain community relations.
• Develop and execute site plans for company initiatives and goals.
• Ensure product quality and adjust production plans to meet customer requirements.
